Moll Perkins in America
A Dandy, somewhat the worse for drink is lifted by a press gang from outside Ye Sotted Sow, a renowned watering hole of Georgian London. Nothing new there except this particular conscript into the navy happens to be the Prince Regent, son and heir to George III who in turn happens to own that navy. A bit of a rum do!
Never fear, Moll, buxom new landlady of the Sow enlists the help of some regulars to set out on a secret mission to restore the portly Prince to the bosom of his dysfunctional family.
They will cover vast distances, confront great monsters, repel hostile forces, devising cunning plans as they battle the odds to rescue His Corpulent Highness from himself. Oh, and did anyone mention the war?
All participants in this rumbustious and rollicking tale are either real, unreal or surreal and any resemblance to anyone living is purely a slip of the artist's pen. No caricatures were injured in the drawing of this book.
